  6. I've made doughnuts before, but somehow never made this recipe and had kept it in that "meaning to try" category. So glad it was my first Club: Baked experience, as I LOVE doughnuts and I LOVE the Baked books!

    Here's my Doughnut post

  7. I only made half as I learned my lesson last time and ended up with way more than I needed..lol! My dough did not come out sticky like the recipe said so I added more buttermilk and that seemed to help hold the dough together. They fried up really nice, but I do have to say the chocolate glaze was a waste of time and money. It turned out too watery. I added powder sugar to thicken it up just to have a little bit more ontop. I still had to coat them 3 times just to get a little bit of glaze on them. I just decided to go with the powder sugar and dump the chocolate... If I make them again I'll take out the nutmeg and find another chocolate frosting recipe.

  17. Hi all! This is my first post. I learned a lot about making doughnuts which is really far outside my comfort zone. I definitely need to work on the appearance of my doughnuts, but the flavor was right on.
