This reminded me of a pecan pie too..very sweet but also very delicious! Maybe try grated carrot to replace it? If you can find white carrots it will even look the kind of the same.. lol The carrot cakes i've made in the past always had some sort of nuts and brown sugar in them so they might work well in the pie. Just a thought!
You guys that have made it - what do you think about substituting dark chocolate in for the white. I was going to give a go to make my own white chocolate using goat's milk, but am having a hard time finding cacao around here.
Any suggestions for a coconut replacement? I know that completely changes this recipe, but I don't like coconut. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteDk chocolate might work. Between tne white chocolate, sugar and the coconut- the dk choc. May help cut down on the sweetness
